Two years ago on August 28th, 2006 a miracle happened: Gloria Liaudanskis was born. Before that day, the parents have given up on the thought of having a child. And as soon as they found out they are expecting a new born their life has changed; it was filled with joy and happiness. For Mom, Danguole, Gloria wasn’t the first child; she had a son Agnius, who’s fifteen, from her first marriage, but for Dad, Nerijus, she was the first born, for whom he couldn’t wait to hold the little girl in his hands, and protect her as much as he could. Gloria has always been the sweetheart, who would put a smile on the saddest face, if you just looked her into fun and playful, blue eyes. She’s always energetic ready to learn and play; only at the age of two she seemed to be a little genius whom everybody fell in love with at the first sight.  She was one of the healthiest babies you would see around; barely ever sick with a little tiny cold, from winter bites. Everyone was happy and always filled with good energy while around little baby Gloria. It never concerned us that something bad might happen to her; she seemed too sweet to be true. Until this horrible evening, which was around couple weeks ago (September of 2008), her mom, Danguole, was tickling and rubbing her belly, then he noticed a little lump on her belly by the kidneys.  As told by the doctor, they rushed to the emergency room. It turned out to be Neuroblastoma cancer.  That’s then the world fell apart for the whole family of Gloria. The poor girl has been in the hospital for more than one week getting tests and exams. Final results came; it’s a stage three cancer, moving rapidly to stage four, the tumor grows in your eyes, by now it is ten by ten centimeters in size. The cancer started to grow on the kidneys, then we didn’t even see it, it was two weeks ago now it’s almost the size of little Gloria’s fist. It is a really high risk cancer; the treatment is going to take up to two years. She needs help from everyone to get through this horrible matter. So please be generous and help Gloria fight and survive this cancer.</p>
